A sizeable Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) we unfortunately had to dismantle due to extensive bleeding canker and a substantial presence of Ganoderma lucidum around the base.
The main stem was left at a safe height for habitat and will hopefully provide a refuge for a diverse range of invertebrates, mammals and birds!
